You laugh — and leak a little.
You sneeze — and immediately cross your legs.
You avoid jumping, running, or certain exercises because you’re worried about what might happen.
And somewhere along the way, you started thinking:
“Well… I’ve had children. This is probably just normal now.”
Here’s something more women need to hear:
Urinary leakage may be common, especially after pregnancy, childbirth, or as the body changes with age — but it shouldn’t automatically be something you simply accept.
Changes in pelvic floor function can affect everyday life in ways we rarely talk about openly.
Some women start planning workouts around it.
Others avoid certain clothes.
Some always look for the nearest restroom.
And many never mention it to their healthcare provider because they feel embarrassed.
Please don’t be.
At Health & Beauty Integrative Center, women’s health is part of the care we provide, including evaluation of urinary incontinence, pelvic floor concerns, prolapse, pelvic exams, and pessary fitting when appropriate.
The first step is understanding what is actually causing your symptoms and what options may be appropriate for you.
Because “a lot of women have it” and “you have to live with it” are two very different things.
💌 Send this to a woman who needs to know she’s not the only one.
And maybe start a conversation we should have been having all along.
