Grab your paddles and rally for connection!

Our partners at ConnectAble.work are hosting the first ConnectAble Classic Pickleball Tournament on Sunday, October 25, from 9 AM–1 PM at Sarasota Center Boulevard Pickleball Club.

Doubles teams will compete across eight indoor courts in a fun, fast-paced tournament with all skill levels welcome. Registration is just $50 per team ($25 per player).

Best of all, your team will be supporting ConnectAble.work and its mission to help employers see the abilities, skills and potential of job seekers with IDD.

A few weeks ago, they won the Poseidon Cup at The Shipyard.

Today, ConnectAble.work is becoming a real startup with the potential to change how employers see and hire people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Through the Ability Passport, our Ambassadors can show employers what a traditional resume often misses: the tasks they’ve mastered, their strengths, their work interests, and what they can actually DO.

Not just credentials. Abilities. Skills. Potential.

For our Ambassadors, it can open doors. For employers, it can open eyes.
We’re incredibly proud of the young entrepreneurs behind ConnectAble.work and excited to see where they take it next.

Meet Dylan, one of those amazing humans who has truly never met a stranger.

Dylan is outgoing, well-spoken, funny, and loves making people smile. He worked at Rise Up Cafe from the day we opened until the day we closed and was an integral part of everything that made that place special.

Today, Dylan is gaining experience in the dining room at our wonderful employer partner, Sunnyside Village, and here he is making sure a resident gets the perfect Arnold Palmer!

At Inclusion Revolution, our job isn’t simply to find Dylan a job. It’s to help him find the right job in a place where his personality, people skills, work ethic, and abilities can truly shine.

Because when you put the right person in the right opportunity, everybody wins.
We’re excited to see where Dylan’s next chapter takes him.

Shipyard Weekends is an opportunity for young innovators, community leaders and local nonprofits to converge for the greater good. What they accomplish in one weekend could otherwise take months, or may never happen at all due to limited resources.

WE WON! Inclusion Revolution’s challenge at The Shipyard Weekend took home the Poseidon Cup! Huge congratulations to Team Python made up primarily of students from Sarasota’s Pine View School. The team spent the weekend building a real, working web app designed to better connect our Inclusion Revolution Ambassadors with potential employers.

What started as a challenge on paper is now something real, tested, and ready to grow. Stay tuned as this might turn into something pretty big.

From challenge to working app in one weekend.

Our Shipyard team didn’t just brainstorm, they built. The Ability Passport is now a real, working, tested app, built specifically to help our participants show employers what they can do. Tonight, this incredible group is prepping to present it to a panel of judges and investors.

Talent, heart, and hustle. These guys are rocking it, and we couldn’t be prouder to see our challenge come to life this weekend at The Shipyard.
