For U.S. Coast Guard veteran Skyla Lucky, healing came through an unexpected partnership with a retired therapy horse named Tara.

We are beyond excited and incredibly honored to share that STEP received an additional award during the Giving Challenge… we placed in the Top Newbie category!

To receive this recognition in our very first year is something truly special.

Thank you to every single person who donated, shared our mission, volunteered, believed in us, and stood beside us this past year. We are so grateful for the support and cannot wait to see where this journey takes us. We are honored and excited to continue serving our community !

STEP Turns ONE! 🎉

This past weekend, STEP was honored to celebrate both our one-year anniversary and Memorial Day alongside The Mark Wandall Foundation and ddsmiracleminis!

One year ago, STEP was just a dream built on hope, hard work, and the belief that horses have a unique way of helping people reconnect with themselves, build confidence, and feel supported without needing words. Looking around now and seeing the lives being touched, the big smiles, and the community that has grown around this mission is something truly special.

A huge thank you to ALL for spending the day with us, and endless gratitude to Kelly Bailey and War Horse Farm for opening their gates and giving STEP a home to grow into what it is today.

And to our volunteers — thank you for continuing to show up, step in wherever needed, and help create a place where people feel welcomed, supported, and safe. STEP would not be what it is without the people standing behind it every single day.

Here’s to one incredible year… and to all the lives still waiting to be touched in the years ahead. 💜

This past week, we were truly honored to partner with SPARTA and serve our veterans and first responders.
Thank you to the Sparta Project for trusting us, and thank you to every veteran and first responder who joined us. It was an honor to spend the day with all of you.

Today was one of those days that reminds you how amazing people can be.

At the last minute, our volunteers came together to help make a program happen for the children served through The Mark Wandall Foundation Everyone jumped in wherever needed, and because of that, these kids were able to spend time at the barn, with the horses, in a safe and supportive environment.

It takes a village to pull days like this together, especially on short notice a special thank you to Jessica Schulz Horn and Amarilla Kovacs for stepping in to help make today possible. We are so thankful for every person who gave their time, energy, and heart today.

These moments matter more than you know. 💜
