An amazing event, an unforgettable night 🤍

Attending “Oral Dysfunction: The Missing Link in Children’s Growth & Whole Body Health”hosted by Dr. Santos was such a powerful reminder of how connected everything truly is.

So many of us are looking at the same patterns, asking the same questions, and working to connect the dots — because no single provider holds the entire picture.
That’s where collaboration comes in.

I’m just one piece of the puzzle, but when we come together with other like-minded professionals, that “missing link” starts to make more sense… and the impact becomes so much greater.

It was so great meeting who was my instructor when I was first diving into myofunctional therapy. I also had the pleasure to meet Kathryn , Sabrina , Courtney , and always great to see Hollianne ✨

This IS what’s actually normal during sleep.

Things like:
•Snoring
•Mouth breathing
•Waking up tired
are often brushed off as normal, but they can actually be signs the airway isn’t functioning optimally during sleep.

Healthy sleep should look like quiet breathing through the nose without disruptions.

Your tongue is made up of 8 different muscles working together to help you breathe, swallow, speak, and support your airway.

But like any muscle in the body, it can become weak, uncoordinated, or develop poor habits.

When the tongue isn’t functioning properly, it can contribute to:

Dark circles under the eyes aren’t always cosmetic.

They’re often called allergic shiners — and can be a sign of chronic mouth breathing and airway obstruction.

When nasal breathing is blocked (allergies, enlarged tonsils/adenoids, congestion), blood can pool under the thin skin beneath the eyes — creating that dark, purplish look.
