Today would have been my dad’s 73rd birthday.
He passed at the end of April, and this is the first birthday without him. Now, with the holidays on the horizon, I know there are going to be a lot more “firsts” ahead for our family as we learn how to celebrate while still carrying the grief of missing him.
I’m thankful to have my wife and my mother here with me today, and tonight we’re going to go celebrate him together.
This is a celebration, so I’d like to ask you all this.
When you take in your medicine, whether it’s this afternoon or tonight, lift one up for my dad and for somebody you miss or have lost too.
And if you feel comfortable, use this thread to celebrate them. Leave their name, share a picture, say something you wish you could tell them. Share a favorite memory, a funny story, something they taught you, or just let them know you’re still thinking about them.
Grief is tough. I’d rather do it together than alone.
Happy heavenly 73rd birthday, Dad. We love you, we miss you, and we’re celebrating you today. ❤️
Going forward, September 29th will be a special day for us at Pure. A day to honor my dad and to remind all of us to remember the people we’ve loved, lost, and who helped shape who we are.
Love to ALL ☀️
Zach
