You know that special kind of tired where you’re exhausted all day…

A lot of women assume this means their cortisol is sky-high 24/7.
But in my practice, I more commonly see the opposite.
What often happens after years of stress, over-functioning, trauma, people-pleasing, poor sleep, under-eating, overtraining, emotional survival mode, whatever flavor of burnout life handed you… is that the body eventually struggles to keep up with the demand.
Your nervous system has been hitting the gas pedal for so long that eventually the whole system starts sputtering.
That’s when women start describing things like:
⚡️ feeling “tired but wired”
⚡️ getting a second wind at night
⚡️ waking between 3–5 AM with racing thoughts
⚡️ being completely overwhelmed by tiny things
⚡️ crashing in the afternoon but unable to nap
⚡️ anxiety that feels physical, not just mental
because women are so used to pushing through, many don’t realize these symptoms are worth investigating.
