September is National Fruits & Veggies Month! 🍎🥕🥦🫐

Here's a low-pressure challenge for the whole family: see how many different colors you can eat next week.

Remember . . . kids don't have to LOVE every vegetable for exposure to count.
Seeing it, touching it, helping prepare it, tasting it, and trying it again later are all part of learning to enjoy new foods.

Keep offering.
Keep it relaxed.
And celebrate curiosity rather than clean plates!

New school year.
New classrooms.
New friends.

And…a whole lot of shared germs.
🦠 😂 🦠 😂 🦠

It’s common to see an uptick in coughs, sniffles, stomach bugs, and other illnesses once kids are back together. Handwashing, good sleep, hydration, and keeping kids home when they’re truly sick can help, but some germs are simply part of childhood.

When you’re unsure whether something needs a visit, give us a call and leave a detailed message for a call back.
That’s what we’re here for.

Thank you, Dolly.

For putting books into little hands
and big dreams into little hearts.

1946–2026

✨ ✨ ✨

We remember Dolly Parton not only for the music she gave the world, but for the millions of children whose lives she touched through books. 📚

Inspired by her own father's inability to read, Dolly created the Imagination Library. She put free books into the hands of young children and helped families build a love of reading together.

For those of us who care for children, that part of her legacy feels especially meaningful.

Thank you, Dolly, for reminding us just how much can begin with a book. Your legacy will live on every time a child opens one and discovers something new.

Annual well visits give us a chance to check growth and development, talk about sleep and nutrition, review medications and vaccines, discuss school concerns, and, especially as kids get older, give them space to ask questions of their own.

Pediatric care doesn’t stop when the toddler years do.
We’re here for every stage.

Breastfeeding can look different for every family—exclusive breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, extended breastfeeding, or a journey that ends sooner than planned.

Our role is to provide information, answer questions, support your goals, and help you and your baby thrive.

And we’re especially grateful to have Latch Infant Feeding & Lactation Support right here at SIP four days a week, providing lactation support to our patients and families. Having that extra layer of knowledgeable, compassionate support can make such a difference during the feeding journey.

ESPECIALLY during the first few weeks back to school.

Kids are adjusting to new routines, expectations, people, noise, and a whole lot of stimulation.

A snack, some water, a little downtime, and fewer questions right away can go a long way.

Sometimes they don’t need to tell us about their day quite yet. They just need a safe place to land. 💛

Remember, a successful school year isn't just about grades—it's about healthy routines, enough sleep, nourishing meals, movement, confidence, and knowing that every child learns and grows in their own unique way.

Here's to a year of curiosity, resilience, and plenty of reasons to smile. Wishing everyone a healthy, happy, and successful school year! 🍎📚

One of the biggest gifts you can give your child before school starts?

A consistent bedtime.

Even shifting bedtime 15–20 minutes earlier every few nights can make waking up on the first day much easier.

Good sleep supports:
✨ Learning
✨ Memory
✨ Mood
✨ Attention
✨ Immune health

A rested child is ready to learn.

Cord blood contains stem cells that can be used in the treatment of certain diseases, and families generally have three options:

• Donate it to a public bank
• Store it privately
• Choose not to collect it

There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Learning about your options before delivery gives you time to make the decision that's right for your family.

Questions are always welcome!
