ROAD TO 13.1 🏃🏿♀️🔥 | 42 & STILL CHASING GOALS
About 9–10 weeks out from my SECOND half marathon, and tonight we’ve got a 3.7-mile recovery run on the schedule. 👟
One thing I’m learning this time around is that you don’t just wake up and run 13.1 miles—you PREPARE for it. You build the miles, you strength train, you recover, and most importantly… you stay CONSISTENT. 💪🏿
And consistency looks a little different when you have a BUSY life. 😂 Between being the Studio Lead at StretchLab, stretching clients, teaching fitness classes, strength training, and everything else life throws at me, I still have to intentionally make room for MY training.
At 42, I’m not trying to prove that I can do everything. I’m learning how to train smarter, take care of my body, and show up consistently so that when race day comes, I’M READY. 👑🏿
Tonight isn’t about speed. It’s a recovery run. 3.7 easy miles, one foot in front of the other, sticking to the plan.
Because 13.1 isn’t built on race day…
it’s built on days like THIS. 🏃🏿♀️💪🏿🔥
