🌿 Always learning, always growing. Hannah was in Nobleboro, ME, this past weekend deepening her practice through a seminar in Gentle Japanese Techniques and expanding her knowledge of traditional Japanese acupuncture. ✨
Traditional Japanese techniques emphasize gentle touch, careful observation, and listening to the body. The teishin is a non-insertive tool that can complement acupuncture or be used as an alternative to needles, making it a wonderful option for those who are needle-sensitive.
This approach incorporates diagnosis through abdominal and channel palpation, along with gentle stimulation of the skin and superficial fascia to support nervous system regulation and the body’s natural healing processes.
In this video, Hannah is using the teishin as part of her approach to supporting someone with peripheral neuropathy.
🌸 Gentle Japanese techniques may be especially helpful for children, needle-sensitive individuals, people navigating PTSD, oncology patients, and others who may benefit from a gentler approach to care.
We’re excited to continue learning and bringing new techniques into practice to better support our patients. 🤍
