We are a 60-bed skilled nursing facility offering post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation & long-term and respite care.

Our staff is dedicated to serving the medical and rehabilitation needs of individuals recovering from an illness or injury. Genesis HealthCare offers a variety of specialized health care services across our centers. Whether you need us for a short-term rehabilitation after a hospital stay or longer term care, we offer specialized orthopedic rehabilitation, ventilator care, dialysis care, Alzheimer's care and assisted/senior living services depending on your unique needs. At Genesis, we offer our patients and residents outstanding clinical care, delivered by highly skilled practitioners in a warm and comfortable setting.

We’re shining a spotlight on Amanda Giasson, Med Tech at Pine Point Center!

❤️ WHY I STAY:

Amanda has been part of the Pine Point team for 3.5 years and has been with Genesis for more than 10 years. When we asked her what makes Pine Point special, her answer really says a lot about the people who make our center what it is.

Amanda loves the residents and the relationships she has built with them. Over the years, she has developed a great deal of trust with the people she cares for — something that makes her work especially meaningful.

She also shared how much she values her coworkers and the support they provide. From guidance and sharing their skills to simply being there when she needs help, Amanda says she knows she can count on her team.

Residents say Annie is always willing to help, treats everyone with kindness and patience, and works hard to find solutions. They appreciate her help with the garden and planting, her excellent housekeeping, and the care she puts into making their rooms look great.

On Friday we celebrated someone who does so much for our building and for our team. Wendy is always finding ways to make employees feel appreciated, brighten someone's day, and bring smiles to those around her. We are so grateful for everything she does.

Last month, long-term care leaders from across the country gathered in Washington, D.C., to advocate for policies that support residents, caregivers, and providers.

As we reflect on the importance of advocacy, we’d also like to thank Angela Westhoff, President and CEO of the Maine Health Care Association, for joining us at our New England 1 Market award celebration last month and sharing powerful insights on the impact of advocacy in long-term care.

Angela highlighted several recent accomplishments in Maine, including reforming nursing facility reimbursement rates, opposing harmful staffing mandates, and advancing policies that better recognize the real cost of providing quality care. As she reminded attendees, these are “system-shaping, future-defining accomplishments” that happen when providers refuse to sit on the sidelines.

She also spoke to the critical need to invest in the workforce, noting that competitive wages and benefits are essential to attracting and retaining the caregivers residents depend on every day.

Perhaps most importantly, Angela emphasized that “advocacy is a team sport.” The progress being made across our industry is only possible because of the collective efforts of caregivers, center leaders, providers, associations, residents, families, and advocates working toward a common goal.

We are grateful for Angela's leadership and for the partnership of state health care associations across the country as they continue to champion policies that strengthen long-term care and support those who dedicate their lives to serving others. ❤️

As we conclude our CNA Week celebrations for 2026, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each of you. This year’s theme, "They’re Unbelievable," could not be more fitting for the team we have here at Pine Point.

Your dedication is the heartbeat of our center. Whether it was seeing everyone in their tie-dye for our taco bar or gathering for our group photo in your Genesis T-shirts, the spirit you bring to this building is truly inspiring.

Beyond the celebrations—the succulent plants, the BBQ potluck, and the lovely cake—what truly matters is the compassion you show our residents every single day. You consistently Lead With Heart, providing the essential care and connection that makes our residents feel at home. You are often the highlights of their day, and your unbelievable commitment does not go unnoticed.
