I saw something this morning and I wanted to share the sentiment with you.

We, as a people are like popcorn kernels. We may be the same human species and inside we may all be similar, but in fact we are made differently and some are at the moment of greatness now and some in the future.

When you place popcorn kernels in a pan to pop, they all look exactly the same in size, color and feel.

But then as the heat is applied in the oil, you see that some kernels are more ready to pop then others and pop quicker and faster than others. It just meant that they were ready right now to be what they are supposed to be and others are gonna take a little more time.

Those that are waiting a little longer are still on the right path, it just might take a little longer getting to where they need to be.

Moral of the story. Keep grinding, keep staying consistent and doing the work that you know needs to get done and life will eventually reward you to be what you are meant to be.

Patience is hard. Patience is a learned skill. We all need to be patient with ourselves and give ourselves a little grace if we are not like the popcorn kernel next to us.
