☀️My piercing tips to make the most out of your summer AND keep your piercings happy ☀️

- Piercing bumps happen for a slew of reasons but a big factor can be moisture irritation. Piercings/wounds hate to be wet! Drying your piercing properly is a huge part of aftercare. Sometimes the onset of humidity and change in weather mixed with swimming and sweating can be a recipe for disaster.
What does this mean? Well, sometimes we need to modify aftercare and take a step back. LESS IS MORE.

- Stay covered! A sunburnt piercing would suck... consider wearing hats for facial piercings, or using a towel or cover up for body piercings. Tanning out is wonderful but strike a balance.

-Stay hydrated! Piercings heal largely dependent on our immune system. That means we need to have adequate health.

-Pack your aftercare with you to the beach, camping, or to the gym. It makes it so easy! Then there is no forgetting and you can clean your piercing as needed. Travel sized bottles are also great for flying.

-Always shower promptly. No water is clean water whether it is a chlorinated pool, river, lake, or ocean.

-Shield your piercings away from sunscreen and bug spray. Sweat might migrate these things closer to your piercing so pay attention to your body.

****If you have gotten pierced in the last 2-3 months and MUST go swimming (I don't blame you :) its so hot!) please pickup some waterproof covers. In a perfect world you wouldn't be submerging a fresh piercing but hey, I get it! Opt for a medical grade covering that is waterproof and can protect your piercing while you swim.
Great options are: Nexcare, Tegaderm
Don't put it on too tight and remove promptly and clean when you are done your activities.

Hi everyone! How did you fair with the hail storm?! 🫣

Just wanted to touch base with some shopkeeping stuff I am running into each week.

****In the state of Wisconsin I legally cannot pierce anything but earlobes on minors under 16.**** this is not my rule- it is state law. And to my knowledge it has been this way for some time.

Going against this puts my license at jeopardy as well as fines, etc. It is not my business of what establishments are offering these services under the table but again … it is illegal in the state of Wisconsin.

Also- for anyone getting a service I need a PHYSICAL I.D (license or passport) for my paperwork. Showing up to an apt without proper ID is going to result in rescheduling. I have been lenient about accepting photos of I.D but PLEASE- bring your I.D. I will start to be more strict about this.

Especially for minors. I need either: a birth certificate, passport OR if minor is 16+ a permit or license.
