"No one warned me I'd be thrown into the fire with a full schedule my first week out of PT school. But that's what happened at my first job."

Alexander, Clinic Director at Peak's Pembroke and Scituate clinics, says he didn't realize he needed a real mentorship program until he came to Peak. Now it's a structured one: someone showing you the lay of the land of the PT world, and opening up different avenues for your career, clinical or leadership.

Starting out shouldn't mean figuring it out alone.

Jason from North Star Personal Training in Cohasset worked in combination with Scituate and Cohasset Peak clinics to bring a golf prevention seminar to the local community. We had a great turnout, which our own TPI-certified PT, Alexander Perdikis, led! Attendees learned about the most common injuries golfers tend to sustain and how to prevent them to continue to perform at their Peak!

Golfers! Think your swing is the problem? It's usually your body. 🏌️

Tight hips, stiff shoulders, a back that won't rotate - those movement limitations are what lead to swing faults, inconsistency, and those nagging aches that show up around the 14th hole. The good news: fix the movement, and your swing (and your pain) follow.

Join the team at Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance for a FREE Workshop for Golfers:

🗓️ Tuesday, July 21 · 5:30–6:30 PM

📍 North Star Personal Training, 6 Stagecoach Way, Cohasset MA

🥪 Mini sandwiches, beer & non-alcoholic options — relaxed, social, low-pressure

In just 60 minutes, you'll identify the physical limitations affecting your swing, learn why those faults cause pain, and leave with mobility drills you can use right away.

Spots are limited — reserve yours here 👉 https://event.northstarpersonaltraining.com/golf-workshop

Happy Global Running Day! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Whether you're training for a fall race, getting back into a routine, or working your way back from an injury - today is your day too.

A quick note for the runners working back from setbacks: your comeback counts just as much as everyone else's miles today. Return-to-run is a process, and the runners we see come back strongest are the ones who trust the progression.

If that's where you're at right now and you'd like help mapping out the road back, give us a call. It's what we do.

Happy running, everyone. 👟

If you’re a new grad PT, this is the part no one warns you about:

Getting thrown into a full schedule your first week
and being expected to just… figure it out.

A lot of people think that’s normal.

It’s not.

Where you start matters.
The right team will actually teach you how to grow into the role — not just survive it.

At Peak, growth looks different 💙

For Kara, it meant learning, leading, and building programs that make a real impact on patients’ lives.

We believe physical therapists should feel supported in their development while also having the opportunity to step into leadership and grow their careers.

If you’re looking for a place where you can do both — we’d love to meet you.

Are you stuck working from home without your typical desk set up?

Have a family member take a picture of you working and compare to the "ideal" sitting posture:
-Torso and neck are near vertical and in-line
-Thighs horizontal
-Lower legs vertical

Even if you have good sitting posture while working, prolonged time spent in any position can result in musculoskeletal dysfunction.

To limit this, change your working position throughout the day by getting up and walking around for a couple of minutes and/or performing Bruegger's posture hack every 30-60 minutes (swipe right).

**The "ideal" sitting posture is not ideal for everyone. If you are having difficulty with your WFH set-up or have been experiencing neck, shoulder, or low back pain since WFH, come see us at PEAK!**

Working from home and feeling a little sedentary through the work day? Grab a snack— a MOVEMENT snack (and food snack, always)! Here are some options for how you can incorporate a little more movement throughout the day. Try adding these every hour or so. The positions here are nice for full-body mobility, but there are so many moves you can include! What matters is adding a little more movement, a little deeper breath and a little break from the everyday routine. 😊
