It is with the deepest sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved Julie.

Julie had a smile that could light up an entire room and a heart that made everyone around her feel loved, cared for, and important. She was the very definition of what it means to be a nurse and a caregiver—not simply because of what she did, but because of the love she poured into doing it.

Julie loved with her whole heart. She had an incredible gift for making people feel confident, beautiful, and cared for. She absolutely adored her clients and found so much joy in pampering them in the sweetest, most thoughtful ways. To Julie, they were never just clients. She genuinely cared about the people who walked through our doors, and they knew it.

Our clinic will never feel quite the same without her smile, her laughter, her kindness, and the light she brought into every room.

Julie was a beautiful light in this world that dimmed far too soon.

The hardest goodbye is the one you never thought you would have to say.

I will miss Julie for the rest of my life, and I will love her for even longer. 🤍

I know we are being hit with negative reviews and feedback concerning length of time for delivery of products. We are beyond regretful that we can no longer carry some things in office for immediate availability. I just wanted to reach and thank everyone for their feedback. Without it, we cannot grow and learn. With that, there are many things that are beyond our control. So....

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We completely understand how frustrating it can be to wait for medication, particularly for clients who were previously accustomed to same-day pickup from our office.

As part of our commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance, Scottsboro Weight Loss utilizes a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy. Unlike bulk suppliers or unregulated “gray market” sources, prescriptions are prepared and dispensed on an individual, patient-specific basis pursuant to a valid prescription. The pharmacy also fills many types of prescriptions beyond the medications commonly used in weight management, which can result in longer processing times.

Our current pharmacy and shipping process, including expected processing times and the fact that payment is collected when an order is placed, is communicated through our patient education materials, office signage, and staff. We recognize that this process is different from the convenience of our previous in-office dispensing model, and we understand that the adjustment can be frustrating.

However, one thing we are not willing to compromise is the safety, quality, and integrity of the medications and services we provide. Changes in federal regulations surrounding compounded GLP-1 medications have required practices and pharmacies across the country to adapt, and we have worked diligently over the past several months to do so while continuing to keep our services as affordable and accessible as possible.

We sincerely regret when these changes or longer processing times do not meet someone's expectations. At the same time, we will always choose regulatory compliance, responsible prescribing, and patient safety over convenience.

We appreciate the patients who have remained patient with us as we navigate these changes and continue improving our processes. Constructive feedback helps us identify where communication and service can be better, and we appreciate the opportunity to address those concerns.

We wanted to take a moment to update our amazing patients and community. I know many of you all are frustrated and over all the recent changes. We are certainly exhausted from it!

Over the past several months, Scottsboro Weight Loss has experienced tremendous growth. As a result, we've made several significant changes to better serve both our local and telehealth patients.

After much consideration, we made the difficult decision to close our Moulton location. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to find a provider to consistently serve that office, and it became clear that focusing our resources on one primary location would allow us to provide the highest level of care while continuing to expand our telehealth and aesthetics services.

In addition, we have been working behind the scenes on several major improvements, including:

• Transitioning to a new internet-based AI-assisted phone system to help manage the more than 1,000 calls we receive each day.
• Upgrading our website and transferring to a new provider to create a faster, more user-friendly experience.
• Adding new employees, including 3 new telehealth providers.
• Completing our transition to a trusted 503A compounding pharmacy, further strengthening our commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

We know some of these changes have caused temporary inconveniences, and for that, we sincerely apologize. Large transitions don't always go exactly as planned, but every day our systems become more efficient, our response times improve, and our team continues to refine the patient experience.

Our mission has never changed: to provide evidence-based medical weight loss, exceptional aesthetics, and compassionate care while continually investing in better technology, better processes, and better service for our patients.

We are incredibly grateful for your patience, support, and trust during this period of growth. Because of you, Scottsboro Weight Loss continues to expand and serve more patients than ever before, and we couldn't be more excited about what the future holds.

Good morning, Beaus and Belles!!! We are excited to announce our NEW and IMPROVED phone system will be installed this morning! Unfortunately, this does mean for a few hours we will be unable to answer calls. Hopefully by lunch all will be well and running smoothly again! You all have been truly patient and kind with all the sudden changes and we are beyond grateful for your continued trust. We are working hard to better serve you!

In other news, InBody 580 Precision body composition analyzer will be delivered tomorrow, and we meet with our good friends from Gulf Breeze Apothecary to better streamline our shipping/product services.
