At Radiology One we made a decision to double the number of peer reviews we perform.

The interesting part is that we were already meeting industry standards.

We didn't do it because we had to. We did it because we wanted more feedback, more learning, and more accountability.

The truth is, peer review is often treated like a checkbox. If we're being honest, many radiologists don't enjoy it. But I don't think it should be completely comfortable.

Good peer review should make you pause for a second. It should make you think. That's how we all get better.

I recently heard about a large teleradiology group that eliminated its quality officer because they didn't want radiologists slowing down after finding a miss.

That isn't the kind of medicine we believe in.

Our job isn't just to read faster.

It's to keep getting better. Every case. Every day.

That's the culture we're trying to build.

"Is your logo an MRI scanner or an ultrasound probe?"

We hear that question all the time.

The answer: we left it open to interpretation on purpose.

Because healthcare doesn't fit into a single piece of equipment and neither should your diagnostic strategy.

Ultrasound is a powerful tool. In the hands of a trained radiologist, interpreting the right study for the right indication, it changes lives.

Out of that context? It generates findings, anxiety, unnecessary follow-up — and revenue for someone who isn't your doctor.

We don't sell the idea that one scan solves every problem.

We believe in something less flashy: one diagnostic partner who helps you choose the right modality, not just the fashionable one.
