I can’t clean my house unless I have some good smell to look forward to, especially if I’m working with vinegar. Since I don’t use commercial-made cleaners I have to come up with my own recipes and scents. 🍊🍋Citrus is by far my favorite scent to work with!
So, I’ve been working on a citrus-peel infused vinegar for my cleaning spray recipe. Since vinegar is very acidic you can’t blend natural soaps into the formula because it will start to break down the fats, which is so sad because I love a good soapy cleaning spray! So vinegar cleaner is best used with just vinegar and water but I can’t stand the smell… who can… 😆?
I’m hoping this infused vinegar will give my cleaning spray the citrus punch it needs to overpower that vinegar smell. But if all else fails we have our handy dandy essential oils to come to the rescue!
