So, um ya girl go cursed out!!!
To make a long story short, I wanted to vend at a Soul Food Festival where there would be music and fun. I was super excited and submitted my payment for a spot at the event...
The host of the event immediately sent a text message letting me know she was excited to have me as a vendor, but then she told me I could only sell one type if product like oils, or waist beads and hats, or hair, etc... I told her I can sell the accessories only
She didn't like the fact that my mom and I would be sharing a booth and told me we need to be separate. Ok, no biggie, she can purchase her own spot and we can be next to each other.
Then, for some reason the woman started to threaten me and said I would be a solicitor if I sold my products and the authorities would have to be notified.
Blind sided, I told her she was being irrational and unprofessional because I agreed to everything she asked...
Needless to say, she continued to berate me and told me she would refund my vendor fee.
I thanked her for her time...
You see, customer service should be in effect regardless of having your own business, hosting events, or working for someone else.
I kept my professionalism and ensured I was giving customer service regardless of her being my customer.
Practice it on a daily and be slow to speak and swift to hear and know that all things work out according to your good.
Should I have ripped her a new one, or remained tactful...
