Do you teach Kundalini ✨️? What is Kundalini?
I love opening up my retreat experiences for questions because you'll never know what comes through.
My fav question at a different kundalini retreat was: "are they serving cool-aid? If so, dont drink it" 🤣🤣
No, guys this isn't a cult and im not following a guru or anything ..... im up at 5am because I want to be! - and because that is the time of morning when your intuition is most accessible. Its peaceful and quiet and there is something magical about waking up the body before sunrise.
Kundalini Yoga, known as the "yoga of awareness," is a dynamic practice aimed at awakening dormant energy at the base of the spine (Kundalini) to raise it through the chakras. It combines breath (pranayama), movement (kriyas), hand gestures (mudras), and sound (mantras) to reduce stress, balance the glandular system, and strengthen the nervous system.
Core Principles and Components
Kriyas: Specific, choreographed sequences of postures, breath, and sound that produce precise, tangible effects, such as clearing chakras or strengthening the nervous system.
Breathwork (Pranayama): Often uses rapid techniques like "Breath of Fire" to stimulate energy, or long, deep breathing for relaxation.
Sound and Mantra: Chanting, such as the Adi Mantra (Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo), is used to tune in and guide the energy.
Chakras and Energy: The focus is on moving energy up the spine through the seven chakras to achieve a higher state of consciousness.
Structure: Classes typically include tuning in, warm-ups, a specific kriya, relaxation, and meditation.
