Honestly, the first thought when I saw this quotation was “Dang, that’s a lot of pressure! Not only do I have to keep my body healthy for myself but for the cosmos too?!”
Then I remembered that I have been conditioned to believe that a for a woman in America means: skinny, hungry, toned, plucked, waxed, small, etc. I’m sure each of us could fill in the blanks with what we’ve been conditioned to think healthy is.
What if, instead, just for today or even just for the next 2 minutes *healthy* = breathing, meeting yourself where you are, resting, calling a loved one, turning off the news, or even closing this app and going outside!
Let’s be kind to ourselves. That’s healthy to me.
p.s. I do love the message. We’re part of the cosmos. When we tend our plants and keep them healthy, it makes us feel good, right? Works both ways!
