Michelle digs relationship: relationship with earth, self, others, and the infinite. Peaceful Heart Wellness Services is the love child of these art forms.

July 24! t-minus 1 week until registration will close for our September walks on the Camino de Santiago. 🙏🌳💖🥳

Some of you are planning already for 2027, and I love that. We've got a doozey of a year next year... 2 walks on the Camino Portuguese in addition to our tried-and-true walks on the Camino Frances, final 100km and Camino Primitivo. Happy Girl!

AND, not everybody hears The Call in the same way. Not every Pilgrim plans a year in advance... some TRULY feel this truth in their heart and then ZING... they make it happen.

Some of your faces out there reading this come to mind... you know who you are. How much notice... 3 weeks? Several of you have hopped into these groups with ~3 weeks notice. and I'm so glad that you did.

So ANYWAYS. For you early birds out there... your journey to Santiago de Compostela is *beautiful*. And for you "Can I still do this?!" Pilgrims out there... your journey to Santiago de Compostela is *beautiful*, too.

You are all welcome here.

technology snafu! emails lost in the abyss

friends, I've been having major issues with my emails this Summer. 💣💥

I don't know the rhyme or reason, but many of my sent emails have been **p**f** sent to the abyss over the past months instead of landing gently in your inboxes.

If you've been waiting to hear from me, chances are I've been waiting to hear from you. which is why I'm using this funny meme. laugh so you don't cry? 😅

10 years in business, I guess it's time to graduate to a new email address. Welcome me here now, and I genuinely apologize for any confusion this "lostness" might've caused.

in 2019 I walked 175 miles alone on the Camino Portuguese grieving the loss of a relationship, and actually… grieving the loss of many relationships that came before it, too.

last week I returned home from a group walk on this same route… the route I had intentionally avoided all these years since.

friends. it was hard for me to imagine… so much so that it’s turned into a joke within this Peaceful Heart Pilgrimage community…

but…

I LOVED walking by the ocean. 🌊

I LOVED IT.

I LOVED IT.

the ocean and the landscape and the breeze was… amazing.

different. it was different than how I experienced it before. I was different.

I am a tired woman after a month on The Way, as I always am this time of year. I will rest and I will integrate all that I’ve felt and learned, and I will be sooooooo ready to get out there again in September to see what else the Camino will have in store.

For those of you walking this Fall… I absolutely can’t wait to meet you, or to share in this wild ride together again. What a gift. What an honor.

these shots will just never get old to me...

last week a sun shiny day walking to the Cathedral... YES PLEASE.

(and with some of you in past years... we had RAAIINNNYY walks to the Cathedral, didn't we. VICTORY, never the less)

I see these shots and they encompass all the miles, all the conversations, all the tears, all the accumulated friendship that led up to them.

It's not an exaggeration to say that I watch lives change - in real time - on The Way. It's WILD to observe. It's FASCINATING. People are BEAUTIFUL and they really do come here to do REAL things. How lucky am I?

And tomorrow... 6 women... most previous Peaceful Heart Pilgrims... will meet me for 175 miles on the Camino Portuguese. What in the world will happen out there?! We'll find out! and in 2 weeks I'll be back in front of that Cathedral again. Lives changed... including my own.

My love to you all - past, present, future Peaceful Heart Pilgrims, and friends. It's an absolute joy and honor to share this Adventure with you. I have the best job in the world.

I'm less than a week home from pilgrimage in Japan and WOWZA... the integration is deep and wide.

I kid you not... I catch myself lying in bed at night thinking about different bits of the spirituality and philosophy of the Kii Peninsula. If you're the same kind of "nerd" as me, google Shugendo. Thank me later... over hours of conversation. 🙏

and then at OTHER times (ha!) I lie there in bed sooooo eager that I'm just over a month until CAMINO SEASON.

If you've followed along for a while, you know how I feel about Camino Season. I live on the Camino a few months of the year, walking with a few dozen of you beautiful souls... and I could not be HAPPIER that that time is nearly upon us.

It is my greatest gift that I get to share The Way with you. The lessons and the conversations... I am the luckiest.

This June there are two routes:
→Camino Frances, final 100km
→Camino Portuguese, Costal from Porto

Our groups are technically full, but I always reserve a few extra for those "trust the Universe" moments. This is me saying... if you're right at the edge... trust the Universe (and me). Walking the Camino can be a reality for you this Summer. I'm here to help. 💕💪

sometimes pilgrimage reveals what we wouldn’t expect to see, and sometimes pilgrimage takes us back to what we know deep in our bones.

I encountered a serow on the trail this past week. I’ve never seen one myself before, but have heard the lore that they bring good luck to those they show themselves to. I will remember that encounter for years to come… if not decades.

and now I’m tucked away in tiny coastal town for a few days of rest. pilgrimage also looks like accidentally reading 100 pages of fiction from the only English book at the local cafe. and a 2 hour bath listening to 2004 Arcade Fire.

Adventure can come in many forms, friends. may you feel Known and Loved as you find your next.

What a fun week on the Kumano Kodo!

My heart is so full; reconnecting with past Peaceful Heart Pilgrims and meeting new friends. It is a gift to share Japan with you all! ⛩️🌳🌸🇯🇵🫶🥰

I’m in a short rest period before meeting my next group. Send your love to those who have just completed and those who are about to begin. Much to process from such an immersive walk! How lucky are we. 🥰

The Camino de Santiago calls "ordinary" people to do an Extraordinary thing. 🌳💫

On paper, the Camino is walking, conversations, coffee, a Cathedral.

In practice, the experience is so much greater than the sum of its parts.

You can do this, friends. Those steps will change the way you see yourself, others, and the world.

Preparations for June are just getting underway. Preparations for September are just around the corner. Pilgrim-you is not a distant dream.

Let's ease in together and make this happen. 💪💕
