Update, we are confirmed for DragonCon 2027 for our 11th year, thank you everyone for your love and support, I looked forward to DragonCon every single year💜💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Recently, it has been brought to my attention that a volunteer that I had assisting me at my booth had said some pretty disparaging personal opinions about both DragonCon, their volunteer’s and my company on Monday, Sept. 7th, 2026 to one of my customers visiting the booth who also happened to be a DragonCon staff member working the show.

I wanted to publicly post an apology for their behavior and to let everyone know that I, nor my company Surreal Makeup, do not share their opinions about DragonCon or its organization. If I had been aware of their comments at the time, they would have been dismissed immediately as DragonCon has been my number one favorite show to attend for the past decade.

I am beside myself with shock and dismay about this entire situation and appalled that these remarks were ever made regarding DragonCon, its volunteer’s and my business. It leaves me worried that other customers were mistreated by this staff member as well.

If you visited my booth at DragonCon 2026 and were treated in a rude or disparaging fashion by this volunteer, I am truly sorry that they acted this way towards you as this doesn't align with my business model of being kind and courteous to everyone that comes to visit my booth at any show. They have been banned permanently from my booth in all shows forthcoming and I will do better vetting volunteers in the future.

Situations like this can destroy decades long personal and business relationships in an instant and need to be resolved in a swift and professional fashion to prevent sn*******ng. My future attendance at DragonCon now hinges on the decision of the DragonCon Board Members because of the comments made by my volunteer deciding to speak out of turn without my knowledge, discretion or consent. They had no authority or permission whatsoever to speak on behalf of Surreal Makeup.

I had a great time participating in DragonCon 2026 this year! It was a pleasure meeting you all and taking the time to chat with you over the weekend during the show. I hope I get the opportunity to do it better next year. (fingers crossed)

My makeup after going for an outdoor walk, it didn’t budge at all even though I was super sweaty! Here is what I was wearing on my eyes: Fae with Mermagic, Fairy, and Elven layered over it. Moonbeam as a highlight and Void as my liner. My outfit to go with the makeup 💜 Shirt from Puvithel Rajan , pants from TheLeggingLass , flannel from FlannelPanels, and butterfly necklace from the late Evelyn Chant , I will forever cherish the pieces I got from her 💜💜
