Summer Laser Treatments: The Do’s & Don’ts ☀️
Laser treatments don’t have to stop in the summer, but timing and preparation matter. Here’s how to protect your skin and get the best results.

DO
• Wear SPF 30+ (preferably SPF 50) every single day and reapply every 2 hours when outdoors.
• Wear a wide-brimmed hat and seek shade whenever possible.
• Keep your skin hydrated and follow your post-treatment skincare instructions.
• Let your provider know about any upcoming vacations or outdoor events before scheduling treatment.

DON’T
• Arrive with a tan or sunburn. Recently tanned skin increases the risk of burns, pigment changes, and other complications.
• Use tanning beds or self-tanners before your appointment.
• Skip sunscreen after treatment. Your skin will be more sensitive to UV exposure while healing.
• Schedule aggressive laser treatments immediately before a beach vacation or prolonged time in the sun.

The good news? Many laser treatments, including MOXI, can absolutely be performed during the summer when appropriate precautions are taken. The key is choosing the right treatment for your skin and committing to excellent sun protection.
