𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤!
But I have mixed feelings about how she did it…
For the past few weeks our white male cat Blanco has been biting the back of our multicolored Roxy’s head, and I’ve been seeing her helplessly sit there and screech in pain. I tried separating the 2 or throwing a sock at Blanco, but it didn’t deter the behavior.
Then I learned that 𝘪𝘧 𝘴𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘳!
Ah hah! That was it!
I asked the owners for permission to release her fear, and after getting a yes, I worked on releasing the emotions and beliefs that were getting in the way of her defending herself. It helped… the next night he attacked her 3x and she fought back every time!
But I was sensing that there was more to do, after all, the attacks didn't appear to be stopping yet...
So I installed some empowering beliefs in Roxy and hours later…
He attacked again! I heard some screeching, looked over and it was already over! He was lying next to her with his eyes closed as 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐈𝐌! Say wha?
Then after about a minute of that, 𝐇𝐄 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐄𝐑!
Part of me thinks she found an incredible way to diffuse the situation. But another part of me wonders if this is akin to people nominating an undeserving powerful person for nobel peace prize to win favor.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤?
