Vashon Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) provides free, non-emergency medical and social support to Vashon residents. Our team helps fill healthcare gaps by offering timely in-home assessments, wound care, sutures, simple infection treatment, short-term prescriptions, fall risk assessments, immunizations, catheter issue support, medication management, home safety checks, off island medical transportation coordination, and connections to mental health and substance use resources. We also assist with establishing primary care and navigating hard-to-find services. MIH visits are provided at no cost. MIH is operated by Vashon Island Fire & Rescue in funding partnership with King County EMS and the Vashon Healthcare District. We do not answer medical questions or schedule appointments through Facebook or social media. To reach MIH:

It's MIH Week! Each day we'll shed light on some of the different work we do as an MIH team on Vashon! Mobile integrated health teams assist with chronic care by performing disease assessments, educating patients on disease self-management, supporting medication reconciliation, medication management, and serving as an extension of providers for acute disease triage in the home.
