Update :5/22
Jackson had his 3 day stay in the pediatric unit in Bangor for his med switch . He did really well and had no seizure activity while switching over to his new medicine . This new med will hopefully help with the behavioral issues he’s been having with kepra which is know to do that. He will have Pt and Ot and speech on June 8th and won’t have to have another Nero apt till Aug. And if his Iron levels come back good again in mid June he won’t have to see his Hemo doc again. Jackson is getting stronger and gaining everyday. Thank you all for your amazing support .❤️

Update 5/15
Sorry for the lack of updates lately .We have been busy going back and forth to all Jackson’s apts. Jackson had another MRI on April 30th . We just got the results back and his scan showed that that the vein in his brain is completely clear of any clot. Very exciting news. We had a appointment with his Nero doctor yesterday and she wants to try and switch his Kepra seizure
med to another med that is similar to the one he is on to one that has less behavioral side effects . We will go Monday the 18th to Bangor pediatric unit for an inpatient stay to have him monitored while he’s switching meds. We will hopefully be home Wednesday is all goes well ! Fingers crossed! We had another apt today with his Hemo doctor and was told Jackson can finally get off his blood thinner shots as the clot is gone. Jackson is doing really well with PT and OT therapy that he only has to go once every 3 weeks. He had another Pediatric apt yesterday and is doing really well with his weight and is back up where he needs to be .He is a strong, amazing little boy!❤️

Update: 3/7 Jackson is doing so well that they don’t think he needs to go to rehab . So we will continue his PT and OT here . Last night we started weaning his meds from the tube to orally . This morning he did all his meds pill form with yogurt and his pediasure by mouth . With luck we won’t have not come home with his feeding tube . He is making huge strides everyday! He will have another mri on the 12th. ❤️
