🌵 Arizona friends… are you wanting to trade the desert heat for the warm, turquoise waters of the Caribbean? 🌊
This is not the California or Mexico ocean. It’s another level!
If you’ve been staring at the phone weather app thinking, “I just need to get away for a few days,” I have an invitation for you.
This August, I’m leading a 4-day AcuNidra retreat at the Sivananda Ashram in the Bahamas, and there are still a few places available.
This isn’t a retreat where every minute of your day is scheduled.
It’s a retreat where you finally have room to breathe.
Imagine waking up to the sound of the ocean. Sharing nourishing vegetarian meals. Swimming in warm, crystal-clear Caribbean water. Reading in a hammock. Watching the sunrise. Meeting people from around the world who are also taking a pause from everyday life.
Then, each day, we’ll gather for a 90-minute AcuNidra session.
AcuNidra is a signature practice that weaves together:
✨ Ear acupoints
✨ Yoga Nidra meditation
✨ Sound healing
The intention is simple: Return to Presence.
Many people leave feeling deeply rested, calmer in their nervous system, and more connected to themselves than they have in a long time.
For me, this retreat is deeply personal.
I completed my Yoga Teacher Training at this ashram in 2012 and returned for additional Yoga Nidra training in the years that followed. Every time I arrive, it feels like coming home. The swamis are incredibly kind and wise, the community is welcoming to people of every background and faith, and there is something about this place that gently reminds us of what really matters.
Never been to an ashram?
Don’t let that intimidate you.
An ashram is simply a spiritual community devoted to conscious living. Yes, you’ll see monks in orange robes. Yes, there is yoga. And yes, people of every faith, spiritual tradition, and experience level are genuinely welcome.
📅 Retreat: August 12–15
I recommend arriving on August 11 and departing on August 16. If your schedule allows, consider treating yourself to a full week away by traveling August 10–17.
What does it cost?
The ashram has generously extended a 20% discount on accommodations for those attending this retreat.
The most budget-friendly option is $651.20 for five nights, which works out to about $130 per night and includes:
• Your accommodations
• Two delicious vegetarian meals each day
• Daily yoga classes
• Meditation and evening satsang
• Access to the beautiful ashram grounds and beach
• The full ashram experience
Retreat tuition is $80.
I checked airfare today on Hopper, and because we’re less than two weeks away, flights from Phoenix are currently around $1,000, though prices can vary and some travelers may find better fares or use airline miles.
This is so much more than a vacation.
It’s the kind of experience that restores you from the inside out. The kind that stays with you long after you return home. The friendships, the peaceful rhythm of the ashram, the ocean, the simplicity, and the daily practices have a way of continuing to nourish you long after you’ve unpacked your suitcase.
If you’ve been craving rest instead of more stimulation…
If you’ve been wanting to reconnect with yourself…
If your nervous system has been asking for a reset…
I’d love to welcome you.
Send me a message, and I’ll happily answer any questions or send you all the details. 💙
