Someone loved Back To School night!

Peep my baby at his first Back-to-School Night 🥺. Hims was sooooooo wittle at that big table!

Tonight marks our third Back-to-School Night with Hunter. Two years ago, when Hunter was just 2, he began his journey into the public school system at the school that will most likely become his second home until he is 22.

Let that sink in…..

Twenty years of his life may be spent within those walls.

Twenty years of learning, therapies, relationships, opportunities, and people choosing to see his potential rather than his limitations.

He may not have looked like he belonged when we first walked through those doors. But he belonged. He belonged at that table. He belonged in that classroom. He belonged to be included.

Sometimes inclusion isn’t about finding a place where a child fits. It’s about making sure there is a place for every child. And Hunter has spent the last two years proving that when you give a child a seat at the table, they can show you just how much they were always capable of bringing to it.

Hunt didn’t need someone to decide he belonged. He just needed someone willing to make room for him and we are so glad they did.

The best early birthday present was spending the day with my littles and my birthday twin. 💙

Shorebirds game, followed by boardwalk rides and dinner. We had an absolute blast!

At one point after dinner, I was definitely regretting a few of my life choices on some of those rides 😂 but when the older kids ask Aunt Lauren to ride…well, you ride. 😜 I may have lost a few lives in the process, though. 😂

Life is what you make it, and I refuse to have regrets—especially when it comes to my littles.

Making memories may look a little different for us. Sometimes it means standing at the back of the stadium instead of sitting in the bleachers. Sometimes it means carrying Hunter up a ton of stairs or holding onto him tightly so he can experience a ride on the carousel.

But I will do it again and again and again until I can’t do it anymore.

Because these are the moments that matter. These are the memories I’ll hold onto forever.

My birthday wish is simple: to continue being able to give my littles the world, in whatever way that may look. I live for these boys. They are, without a doubt, the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Four years ago today, the world became a little brighter when our sweet boy and his sissy were born. 💙💜

As I said in my previous post, time is a thief. And for kids like Hunter, it feels tenfold. The reality is, we truly don’t know how many birthdays he will live to see. So for our sweet boy, every day is a birthday. Every day is something to celebrate. Every moment is something to cherish.

Over the past year, Hunter has come so incredibly far. His willpower, courage, and determination are unwavering. He continues to inspire us, even on our hardest days—especially on the days when we think we simply can’t go any further.

He pushes us to be better people.
He pushes us to be better humans.
And he pushes us to do what’s right, even when no one else is looking.

Hunter has taught us that strength doesn’t always look the way we imagined it would. Sometimes strength is found in the smallest victories, the hardest battles, the biggest smiles, and the little moments that most people might overlook.

The world is a better place because of him. Our world is immeasurably better because of him.

Happy 4th birthday, sweet boy. 💙🦈💙

We will celebrate you today, tomorrow, and every single moment we are blessed to have with you.

Keep fighting, Hunt. Keep showing the world just how extraordinary you are. We love you more than words could ever explain.

He giggled and babbled late into the night until he fell fast asleep.

Time is a thief.

Tomorrow he’s 4️⃣.

“I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be.”

And yes, I am quietly crying as I type this.

If he only knew how much of a blessing he is to so many 💙🦈💙

Let this be a sobering reminder of what others actions towards an infant will lead to.

Chase was shaken just like Hunter. He passed at the age of 12 due to complications as a result of the injuries he sustained as an infant.

His death was ruled a HOMICIDE.

Let that sink in.

No child or family ever deserves this and those involved need to be held accountable to the fullest extent.

Well, it’s official. Chase is legally a murder victim. I do have some updates on his case coming soon so stay tuned for that. I will probably post a video explaining cause it’s a lot.

Yea team no sleep! 💤

Physical rehab had to increase Hunt’s daily dosages of gabapentin that he receives 3 times a day.

Apparently with that can come insomnia 😵‍💫

We are on about 72 hours of minimal sleep right now and so would like to crawl in a hole.

He’s cute though 🫩🥱😵‍💫🫪😴
