As we reflect today, as we look back at the month of June, we’re reminded that every event, every conversation, every test, every educational opportunity, and every person we connected with represents another step toward building a healthier Black Belt.

Throughout June, Selma AIR, Inc. & The BlackBelt Wellness Center remained committed to promoting HIV awareness, prevention, education, and access to care while strengthening relationships throughout our community. From community outreach and health events to connecting individuals with resources and confidential HIV testing, every moment mattered because every person matters.

Thank you to our community partners, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who stopped by to learn, ask questions, get tested, or simply share a conversation with us. Your trust and participation fuel our mission.

This , we’re shining a light on Ark of Love Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering children and adults with intellectual disabilities through compassionate care, support, and opportunities for greater independence. 💙

Their programs provide supervised community living, supported living, adult training, and referral services, helping individuals thrive while strengthening families and the community. Every life deserves dignity, respect, and the chance to reach its fullest potential.

TRUST YOUR GUT!!

When I got diagnosed with HIV, I was not demonstrating any symptoms that would have me believe I had HIV.

Yet something felt *off* in my body, in my spirit and that is what prompted me to get tested.

God gave us all discernment and intuition- listen to it!

Because even though you might not have HIV you might have something else that requires immediate medical attention.

Don’t wait till it’s too late.
