🎶 “Annie, are you okay?” 🎶

Fun fact: That famous line from Smooth Criminal actually comes from CPR training.

Instructors use a mannequin called “Resusci Anne” and practice checking responsiveness by asking:
“Annie, are you okay?”

Even more interesting? The song’s beat is close to the recommended pace for CPR—100–120 beats per minute.

đź’ˇ Push hard. Push fast. Stay on beat.

Because in an emergency, every second—and every beat—matters.

We had an amazing time at the YMCA’s Annual Healthy Kids Day! 💛

Thank you to the YMCA for inviting our team out to connect with so many incredible students and parents in the community. Events like this give us the opportunity to have meaningful conversations about the importance of CPR and being prepared to save a life.

You never know when an emergency might happen — but with the right knowledge, anyone can step in and make a difference.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that prioritizes health, education, and prevention. 💪❤️

Two champions. One mission. đź’™

We’re proud to recognize Miss South Carolina, Sarah Kay Wrenn, and NOLA Network Co-Founder, Jacory Benson, for their tireless work across the state to strengthen heart safety protocols on school campuses and raise awareness about Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).

From advocacy to action, they are helping ensure that more schools are prepared, more lives are protected, and more young hearts keep beating.

This is what impact looks like. This is what leadership looks like.

This is why we do what we do.

You’re never too young to learn how to save a life.

Today students practiced infant CPR, learning the proper technique to help a baby who isn’t breathing.

Teaching young people these skills builds confidence and creates a generation ready to respond in an emergency.

Because lifesaving skills should be as common as learning to read.

The countdown is on! 💛✨

The 5th Annual Keep The Beat Gala is THIS Saturday and we could not be more excited to gather with our incredible community.

Because of your support, students can receive free CPR training, families have access to affordable heart screenings, and those facing financial barriers are fully covered. Your generosity also funds critical follow-up medical care and counseling for students and families impacted by sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) or abnormal screening results ensuring no one walks this journey alone.

Let’s keep the beat going. We can't wait to see you there! 💛

An EKG is quick.
It’s painless.
Most importantly, it can detect hidden heart conditions before tragedy strikes.

Many young people who experience sudden cardiac arrest had no warning signs. That’s why heart screenings matter.

Through Keep The Beat, we are working to make these life-saving screenings accessible to students in our community, but we can’t do it alone.

đź’śYou can donate or sponsor a screening to help protect local students.
đź’śParents, we encourage you to talk with your schools and coaches about bringing heart screenings to your campus.

Most student athletes in South Carolina are not routinely screened with an EKG. Together, we can change that because every heartbeat matters.

Behind every screening is a story, a legacy, and a heart that continues to make a difference.

This past Saturday on National Heart Screening Day, we were honored to stand alongside three incredible mothers who are turning unimaginable loss into life-saving advocacy. Each of them continues to lead with strength and purpose, working to protect other families from the pain of sudden cardiac arrest by raising awareness and supporting youth heart screenings in their children’s honor.

We are deeply grateful for the voices, courage, and commitment of families who continue to share their stories so that more hearts can be protected. Together, we keep the beat going in honor of Vari, Nick, Josh, and Jake. ❤

February is known as the month of love, but it’s also Heart Health Month ❤️

Sudden Cardiac Arrest is a topic we talk about often, because awareness truly saves lives. SCA doesn’t discriminate, and it doesn’t always come with warning signs.

This month, we’ll be sharing education, resources, and ways you can take an active role in protecting your heart and the hearts of those you love.

Because loving your heart means protecting it.
