Today, H.U.M.A.N. proudly celebrates and honors the Indigenous peoples, families, and communities who have shaped our history and continue to enrich our lives.

Here in Sequim, we extend a special recognition to the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe, whose rich culture, traditions, resilience, and contributions are such an important part of our community. 🌿

At H.U.M.A.N., we believe that kindness begins with understanding, respect, and appreciation for one another. Today is a beautiful reminder to listen, learn, honor our differences, and celebrate the cultures that make our community stronger.

Calling all Olympic Peninsula business owners, managers, and community members! 🌟

At H.U.M.A.N. (Having Understanding Means Acting Now), we are preparing to launch our upcoming T.H.E. -( The Human Experience) youth mentoring program.

Our goal is simple: support and mentor local teens across Clallam county by equipping them with practical life skills, hands-on resume building, interview prep, and the positive reinforcement needed to successfully land—and keep—their first jobs.

To make this initiative as impactful as possible, we are building a community-wide Youth Employment Master Database, and we need your input!

Community Poll & Quick Questions:

This is what we love about living in a small town community helping community. When local organizations come together, we can make a real difference for children and families right here at home.

🌺 Aloha from the annual Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce Picnic in the Park!

H.U.M.A.N. and Liggins Landscaping & Maintenance were proud to sponsor this year’s luncheon and bring a little Hawaiian luau spirit to Pioneer Memorial Park! Every guest was welcomed with a lei before enjoying a delicious Hawaiian meal catered by Da Kindz Island Grill.

The weather was beautiful, the food was wonderful, and The Saxologists from the Sequim City Band provided the perfect live music for the afternoon. 🎷🌴

Thank you to the Chamber team, DAKINDZ Grill and everyone who attended and made this annual community luncheon such a fabulous time. We were grateful for the opportunity to share more about H.U.M.A.N., connect with our community, and enjoy a beautiful afternoon together! 💜

💜BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT 🎒✏️📚

What a fantastic day celebrating our community’s youth at the annual Back-to-School Event at the Boys & Girls Club!

A huge thank you to the Boys & Girls Club for continuing to host this incredible event each year and bringing our community together to help local students head into the school year feeling prepared, supported, and confident.

HUMAN had so much fun out on the playground! 💜 Our selfie station was a huge hit, and kids also got to hang out in our little movie lounge, spin the prize wheel, play games, and of course take home LOTS of prizes! 🎡🎬📸 Also huge shout out to our Liggins crew for holding down the stations and having lots of fun with the kiddos! We appreciate all of you.

We loved seeing so many smiling faces and getting another opportunity to introduce families to T.H.E. The HUMAN Experience, our new pilot program launching next year. This was just a little preview of what’s ahead!

And a special thank you to the Sequim Gazette for capturing the day in “Loaded Up for Learning.” We’re grateful to see an event focused on helping our local youth get ready for a successful school year highlighted in our community.
