One of my favorite parts of being a massage therapist is when a longtime client is willing to step outside their comfort zone and try something completely new. ❤️
Recently, I had a longtime client in my office who has always preferred relaxation massage and lighter pressure. She typically wasn’t interested in deep tissue because she didn’t enjoy the intensity that can sometimes come with deeper work.
I encouraged her to give Barefoot Ashiatsu Massage a try.
I explained that because Ashiatsu uses broad, slow, controlled pressure, rather than the concentrated pressure of thumbs or elbows, I thought she might actually enjoy the experience—and still receive a much deeper, therapeutic treatment.
She agreed to try it… and the result was exactly what I had hoped for. 🥰
She was able to experience deep therapeutic work while still feeling relaxed and comfortable.
It was such a great reminder that deep tissue doesn’t have to mean painful, poking, or leaving you sore. Sometimes, the way pressure is applied makes all the difference.
Barefoot Ashiatsu allows me to use my body weight to create slow, flowing, broad pressure that can work deeply into the muscles and fascia while maintaining a relaxing experience.
If you’re someone who normally says, “I don’t like deep tissue,” you might be surprised by how different Ashiatsu feels.
✨ Deep therapeutic pressure
✨ Slow, broad & flowing movements
✨ Myofascial-focused work
✨ Relaxing while still getting deep work
Maybe it’s time to step outside your comfort zone and experience Barefoot Ashiatsu for yourself. ❤️
