**ONE TICKET LEFT!**

Please join us at Dun-Pikin Farm on June 28th from 10–12 for a very special community event focused on expanding what matters most through gazespotting, meditation & equine coregulation!

About the event: Expansion: Creating Space for New Possibilities

During our two hours, we will engage in Expansion Gazespotting, a guided experiential practice led by co-facilitator Miriam Kahn, LCSW-C, that invites you to gently explore what is possible, opening space to connect with your hopes, visions, and possibilities.

We will also move through a guided meditation, rooted in Positive Psychology, led by Courtney Jones, LCSW-C, CCTP, designed to support grounding and cultivate a deeper connection to what’s possible.

Throughout the experience, we will slow down, breathe, and connect with expanding awareness. The horses serve as powerful co-facilitators, helping us stay present, embodied, and open to new possibilities through their calm, regulating presence.

This event is open to all members of the community. No prior experience with horses, meditation, or therapy is required—just a willingness to show up and explore.

June is PTSD Awareness Month.
When many people hear “PTSD” which stands for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder they often think of being in war or a single catastrophic event. While PTSD can develop after these experiences, trauma is much more complex than many people realize and exists on a spectrum.
At BACC we adhere to the definition that trauma is anything that has shaped our schema, our view of self or the world around us. For some, trauma may stem from a single overwhelming event. For others, it may develop through repeated experiences over time—such as chronic stress, emotional neglect, abuse, discrimination, bullying, medical experiences, community violence, or ongoing exposure to instability. There is no “right” amount of trauma required for an experience to impact the nervous system.
What feels manageable to one person may be overwhelming to another. Trauma is not defined solely by the event itself, but by how the mind and body experience and process it.
This PTSD Awareness Month, we invite you to move beyond comparison and make space for understanding and healing. We are accepting new patients and have several providers who can assist you on your mental health journey.

🫶As we close out Mental Health Awareness Month, we are centering connection, resilience, and the importance of continuing these conversations beyond May.

Mental Health is deeply connected to community, environment, relationships, and access to support.

Awareness is not a single month—it is ongoing work and mental health is just as important as physical health.

At BACC, we remain committed to expanding access, reducing stigma, and strengthening community-based mental health support year-round.
