Sustainable and humane practices are important to us and we know that they are important to you too. That is why we exclude controversial ingredients such as palm oil, petrochemicals, artificial colorants, artificial fragrances, and artificial preservatives. Furthermore, animal testing has no place in our products or in our ingredients so you can rest assured that all Hippie products are cruelty-free. We believe that sourcing of ingredients should be sustainable and provide a living wage to the producers. We also love to support our neighbors in their business journey which is why we source our beeswax and honey from nearby farms. Our Standards
We know you care about what you put on your skin, that is why we source only the finest natural ingredients. We seek to procure only the best of organic, fair trade, and/or cruelty-free products available. All of our essential oils are tested for purity, potency, and authenticity using the gold standard GC-MS testing. Each bottle, bar, and jar are carefully crafted, hand labeled, and personally packaged just for you! We believe that the energy of creating by hand can’t be matched by the output of a machine. Located in the tiny village of Sharon, Wisconsin, the Hippie Homestead is home to a small flock of hens, a variety of herb, flower, and vegetable gardens, and a plethora of wild berries lining the property. Last year I made the difficult decision to shut down production of my Hippie Homesteader line of products. Life had kept me way too busy to keep up with stocking inventory and producing new products. However, my love for experimenting, crafting, and creating for my family, friends, and neighbors never faded. That is what led me to start the Hippie Homesteader in the first place. I know so many of you love the act of creating just as much as I do so I am in the process of taking my recipes and making them available for download!

Each recipe gives you step by step directions, material and ingredient lists, links to my recommended products and suppliers, and printable labels. I will be adding new recipes each week until I have my entire library available. I may even record video tutorials if there is interest. So please take a moment to check out my new Etsy store and watch for new recipes to pop up. ❤️
