Due to the overwhelming response to our prior post, Dr Trager wanted to share a personal message with all of you-
āThank you to everyone for your kind remarks. For me, both flattering and a ālittleā embarrassing. It was great to hear from so many parents and patients, both present and past.
Forty years ago, Meg and I moved to Sheboygan with two very young sons (2 more children and 3 grandchildren since). At age 28, I was young with a little naivety but a lot of energy and enthusiasm. Sheboygan has been our home-a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Since the summer 1986 with some hard work and a lot of support from a group of great physicians at the old Medical arts building on Michigan and 8th street (where we were located for the first three years), Sheboygan Pediatrics has evolved into a user friendly, patient centered independent practice. A rarity that still exists today.
I want to first thank my wife, Meg, who has allowed me to practice pediatrics in a way that has meant significant family time sacrifices over the years.
Next, a salute to our dedicated employees both past and present-medical assistants, receptionists, office staff and more recently our mid-level providers who have all been vital to the success and day to day operations of the practice. They have stuck with me even as I have become a ālittle surlierā while gracefully aging!
And finally, to my partner pediatricians. Julie Roehrborn (recently retired)- who took a leap of faith and joined a solo pediatrician practice 28 years ago. And to Jenny Brault, Amy Harms, and āyoungā Brandon Kozinski-they are all amazing pediatricians and have all brought new energy and ideas to the practice. It has been my pleasure to practice pediatrics with all of them.
Again, thank all of you for trusting your childrenās care to Sheboygan Pediatrics.
Bill Trager
PS-I am not retired!ā
