This morning, August 21, Shelby Farms had the incredible honor of helping one of our residents, Robert, Live a Dream!

The Shelby County Sheriff Office came to Shelby Farms for a very special visit, bringing along their K-9 partner, Eddie.

For Robert, this experience was especially meaningful. Robert was a Carroll County Sheriff, and it had been many years since he had the opportunity to sit inside a sheriff’s vehicle. He said “Wow! The vehicles sure have changed”

Robert was absolutely thrilled to talk with the officers, share stories, and of course, spend some time loving on Eddie! When asked how long he served, he replied with “Longer than you have been alive!”
His smile said it all. What a beautiful reminder that some of our greatest passions and memories never fade—they simply wait for the opportunity to be lived again.

A huge THANK YOU to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department for taking the time to make Robert’s dream come true and for giving him a morning he will always remember! Extra special thank you to Deputies Clemmons, Sanchez, and Higdon!

Live a Dream has been part of Trilogy for more than 15 years. People don’t stop having dreams because they grow older. Live a Dream celebrates the passions, interests, and possibilities that continue throughout life.
