Did you know?
Chamomile has been used for centuries to calm the nervous system, soothe digestion, ease inflammation, and support sleep—inside and out. A cup of tea, a facial steam, a skin soak… this little daisy does a lot of heavy lifting.
In the garden, chamomile is just as generous. It thrives in full sun to partial shade, prefers well-drained soil, and doesn’t ask for much beyond occasional watering. The more you harvest the flowers, the more it blooms. Let a few go to seed and it will often return on its own.
We use this plant in our salves, and soaps for its skin soothing, calming properties - especially for sensitive or irritated skin.
Simple to use at home from your own garden:
Steep 1-2 tablespoons of dried chamomile flowers in hot water for 5-10 minutes. Use the tea as a calming face rinse, add to a warm bath, or sip before bed.
