Here’s a quick mock up a dragon tattoo I would LOVE to do! The dragon would be resting on the top of the shoulder, even more than what’s pictured here, with castle bricks and ivy trickling down around the window. Black and gray only!

Obviously it’ll be much more cleaned up in the final design, but I plan on free handing a lot of this to fit the body.

A part of the romantasy month I’m doing!

I’ve had this loose idea inspired by Nesta Archeron since I finished the ACOTAR series a couple years ago. I was also inspired by The Midnight’s ‘Good in Red’ song and just had this vision of her holding the King’s head at her side. I then decided to make it really greek sculpted.

You’ve heard of my budget board full of original and custom designs year around, but have you heard of Budget Month? 👀

For the month of September, I’m offering Budget priced days. 2-6 hours, only $316. However, not just any tattoo, but there is a theme for the month to qualify.

ROMANTASY. Fantasy and Romance combined. It can be as simple as a dagger from a book or a loving embrace of two enemies to lovers. It just has to be in relation to some sort of romance fantasy of the pop culture persuasion- books, shows, or movies- even music? MAYBE even old folklore or mythology? I have so many ideas, so I’m hoping to get pen to paper to show off a few romantasy tattoos I’d like to do. I’d love to do black and gray work or softer colors with darker contrasts. Any stippling in the piece is a bonus! If you feel like you have tattoo ideas that fit the theme then please contact me and let’s make something cool!

Someone finally snagged this off of my budget board! I was so happy to do this rad tattoo on an equally rad client. I did this while at Black Oak, but finally got around to posting her.

“If I ever were to lose you… I’d surely lose myself.”

I. Finally. Did. It.
I began painting this idea I had of Joel and Ellie from “The Last of Us” back in early July of last year. I thought I was painting my favorite video game characters in my favorite over-grown setting. However, a full year later with it FINALLY finished- I realize this became something more to me.

This project, at first, was my own personal challenge. I have a bad habit of starting a piece of art and never finishing it, because I would always begin another. I forced myself to work on this until the end. Tirelessly. At times when I thought I was done painting only to just paint over it and start again with a different color palette. There were days when I hated it and tried to fix what I didn’t like- only to abandon it for a month, because it wasn’t looking how I envisioned. Just to come back to it again with newfound interest and get lost in the abyss of leaf strokes for the third time in a row. Day in. Day out.

I have a more emotional connection to this than anything I’ve ever done. I forced myself to sit with my feelings about self-loathing. My feelings about my parents, my friendships and the meaning of life. Sit with my death anxiety. Sit with my younger self and my now-self. I looked back and I looked ahead. I reached a weird, copacetic state with this…

All while learning the ways of Gouache. 😅

During this painting:

- I listened to at minimum, 12 audiobooks.
- I also listened to the Syndicate album from The Midnight excessively.
- Many days and nights in Discord w/ the homies.
- Probably painted over a solid 20 cat hairs and smacked about 500 gnats.
- Gardened quite a bit.
- Cried a few times.
- Consumed about 55 iced coffees.

My job is to build something for you with your words and reference photos via the vast wide big ole internet. Stop inputing your ideas into chat gpt and instead give me your ideas directly. This is my livelihood. It’s the way we’ve done it for years. Stop feeding AI my artwork and tattoos as well.
