Pneumococcal disease can cause serious infections, including pneumonia, bloodstream infections, and meningitis. Vaccination is recommended for certain adults based on age, health conditions, and vaccination history.

If you're 50 or older, CDC recommends two doses of the shingles vaccine, even if you've had shingles before.

Certain adults 19 and older with weakened immune systems may also be recommended to receive it.

The CDC recommends annual flu vaccination for everyone 6 months and older, with rare exceptions.

Getting vaccinated doesn't just help protect you. It can reduce your risk of getting sick with flu and can help reduce the severity of illness if you do get sick.
