We are excited to announce the re-opening of the Shoals Community Tornado Shelter, a resource designed to provide a safe place for our community during severe weather.

We want to extend a special THANK YOU to our Shelter Advisory Team for the time and effort they have devoted to developing procedures for the shelter's safe and effective operation. We also greatly appreciate the partnership of the Martin County Emergency Management Team and the volunteers who will help make the shelter available to our community when severe weather threatens.

The attached flyer contains important information about when the Shoals Community Tornado Shelter will open, how the decision to open will be made, how the public will be notified, and what to expect when arriving at the shelter.

⚠️ Please note: The Shoals Community Tornado Shelter will not be available to the public during school hours.

We encourage everyone to review the flyer, become familiar with the procedures, and share this information with family, friends, and neighbors.

We are excited that this important safety resource is available to the Shoals community and are grateful to everyone who helped make it possible.
