Ecumen Hospice provides honoring care for individuals nearing end of life and their families in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburne, and Washington counties. The care team includes physicians, nurses, spiritual counselors, music and massage therapists, physical therapists, and so much more. Accepting Medicare, Medical Assistance, Veterans benefits, health insurance, private pay and indigent care.

Join us as we explore the many transitions life bringsā€”both the challenges and the opportunities for growth. This supportive gathering offers space for grief support, education, and meaningful connection with others who have experienced losses of various kinds, including the death of a loved one, shifts in independence and residence, changes in relationships, and other significant life changes.

Led by Ecumen Hospice staff, our time together provides a compassionate environment to share stories, learn new insights, and walk alongside one another as we navigate grief and discover new beginnings. Our Twin Cities team has conducted two Veteran pinning ceremonies recently! We love being able to personalize these events to the legacy of each individual.

Patrick began his time in the Navy on troop transport before moving to the USS Radford Destroyer (DD-446). He spent his military career as a signalman and went to many places in the South Pacific during WWII.

Pictured with his family, Jerry joined the Air Force after less than a year at teacher college. He specialized in electronics training and then trained in atomic weapons. Due to his time in teacher college, he was able to get a role as an atomic weapons instructor. He left active duty to start a family, some of whom were present at the pinning ceremony.

Our Hospice Massage Therapy team recently spent the day at the Lavender Barnyard. This group of professionals offer comfort, relief and holistic care to our patients - hosting our annual team day at a location like this allowed us to give back to them a tiny bit of what they pour out each day. In addition to meeting time to connect and share skills, they learned about lavender and its benefits, which is one of the aromas they utilize when providing aromatherapy to patients.

Ecumen North Branch Hospice has received a $1,500 grant award from the Midco Foundation in support of hospice services and charity care.

Through this funding, the Midco Foundation is helping ensure that community members facing the end-of-life can receive compassionate, person-centered care regardless of financial circumstances. This grant will provide resources to allow the hospice team to continue providing comfort, dignity, and support to patients and families in the area.

We are grateful to the Midco Foundation for their partnership and commitment to strengthening access to quality end-of-life care in the communities we serve.
