Please join us in celebrating Louisiana Behavioral Health’s newest SAMA instructor, Zach C.!

Louisiana Behavioral Health team members receive SAMA training at hire, every two years, and as needed to support a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

SAMA, or Satori Alternative to Managing Aggression, is a crisis-prevention approach focused on verbal de-escalation, protective techniques, and safe physical management when needed. This training helps team members respond to challenging situations with compassion, confidence, and safety.

Congratulations, Zach! We are grateful for your leadership and commitment to supporting our team.

Louisiana Behavioral Health is proud to support our community through mental health services, education, and mentorship for local psychiatric residents.

Our team was honored to attend the 2026 Psychiatry Graduates Ceremony and Dinner, where Oceans Healthcare CEO Stuart Archer served as guest speaker and shared reflections on leadership and compassionate care.

The evening was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the dedication and hard work of the graduating residents. We were also proud to see Louisiana Behavioral Health consultant Charles Lee recognized with the graduates’ Non-Clinical Award.

Congratulations to the 2026 psychiatry graduates. We are grateful for the opportunity to support the next generation of psychiatrists and the important work they will continue to do for patients and families.

When mental health challenges begin to affect safety, stability, or daily life, knowing the right path forward matters.

Different levels of care are designed to meet different levels of need. For some, that may mean the structure and support of inpatient care. For others, an intensive outpatient program may provide the right support while allowing them to continue living at home.

Both are designed to help individuals receive care, build stability, and take the next step forward with support.

Louisiana Behavioral Health is here to provide steady, compassionate care at every stage of need.

Louisiana Behavioral Health was proud to help kick off Mental Health Awareness Month with a Family Therapy continuing education session for Ochsner Shreveport’s Case Management Department.

Led by Louisiana Behavioral Health consultant Charles Lee, LCSW-BACS, the session focused on practical ways to support individuals and families through stronger communication, early intervention and connection to community-based resources.

Mental health support often begins in the homes, schools, and neighborhoods we serve. With about one in five adults experiencing a mental health condition each year, continued education and collaboration are essential to helping families recognize needs early and access the right support.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Ochsner Shreveport and support meaningful conversations around mental health, family systems and community care.
