Last Friday we held a celebratory luncheon, which marked an historic moment for our Cardiovascular Technology Program as we honored our very first graduate, Rachel Banister.

Being the first means more than crossing the finish line. It means setting the standard, opening doors, and helping build the foundation for every student who will follow. Through hard work, resilience, and countless hours in the classroom and clinical setting, this graduate has left a lasting impact on our program and clinical partners alike.

Welcome to the official Cardiovascular Technology Program page 🫀

Interested in a career in cardiac care? Our program is designed to help students work toward two specialized credentials:

🫀 RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) – performing echocardiograms to visualize the heart in real time
🫀 RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) – assisting with procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab

Whether you’re starting out, in college, or considering a career change, these pathways lead to hands-on roles in a fast-growing healthcare field.
