Ochsner LSU Health is excited to welcome Christopher Sockrider, MD, to its team at Ochsner LSU Health - Breast Surgery Center.

Dr. Sockrider specializes in breast surgery and has expertise in the evaluation and surgical management of breast disease and breast cancer. He is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and offers advanced breast surgical services, including needle biopsy, lumpectomy, mastectomy, and lymph node surgery.

Dr. Sockrider brings additional training and experience in breast ultrasound, minimally invasive biopsy techniques and placement of partial breast irradiation devices. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Louisiana State Medical Society and Northwest Louisiana Medical Society.

Dedicated to understanding each patient's individual concerns and goals, Dr. Sockrider believes strong doctor-patient relationships are at the heart of exceptional care. Having practiced exclusively breast surgery since 2006, he brings nearly two decades of specialized experience to Ochsner LSU Health.

Dr. David Janese is an emergency and family medicine physician, educator, and EMS leader committed to improving healthcare throughout the Shreveport-Bossier community. An Assistant Professor at LSU Health Shreveport, he serves as Associate Program Director for the Emergency Medicine/Family Medicine Residency and Chief Medical Director for the Shreveport Fire Department. His work has focused on strengthening prehospital emergency care, expanding EMS education, advancing HIV prevention and treatment, and preparing the next generation of physicians and first responders. Under his medical leadership, the Shreveport Fire Department has earned American Heart Association Mission: Lifeline recognition, including Gold status. Dr. Janese was named LSU Health Shreveport Family Medicine Faculty of the Year in 2026 and has been recognized among SB Magazine’s Top Doctors. Beyond medicine, he volunteers with local schools, fire districts, community organizations, and public-safety initiatives. He remains passionate about building healthier, safer, and more resilient communities across Northwest Louisiana.

Ochsner LSU Health is excited to welcome Jestin Williams, MD, orthopedic spine surgeon and orthopedic oncologist to our team.

Dedicated to delivering personalized, patient-centered care, Dr. Williams specializes in orthopedic spine surgery and orthopedic oncology. He provides comprehensive treatment for a wide range of spine conditions, including degenerative spine disease, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, scoliosis, spinal trauma, and spinal tumors, offering both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs. With advanced fellowship training in both Orthopedic Oncology and Orthopedic Spine Surgery, Dr. Williams also specializes in the evaluation and treatment of bone and soft tissue tumors, including sarcomas and metastatic cancer involving the extremities, pelvis, and spine.

Dr. Williams completed his medical degree at Meharry Medical College, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He then completed fellowship training in Orthopedic Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Orthopedic Spine Surgery at the University of Virginia.
