Little backstory for ya…
When I first started in aesthetics, I would have husbands randomly show up on my schedule for consults and have absolutely no clue why they were there… then I’d realize their wife booked the appointment.
Sometimes they’d have actual laser appointments booked and the man sitting in front of me didn’t even know he was getting a treatment that day 😂
I swear one time I looked at a patient and said, “Sir, it’s your body. You don’t HAVE to get a BBL just because your wife scheduled you one.”
About half of them would give it a shot… now imagine as a provider trying to make a man feel comfortable while you’re doing a treatment for something that never even bothered him in the first place. 🤣
But honestly, those patients help make me into the provider I am today.
Listen… women will absolutely go through torture if they know the results will be worth it.
Men tend to need a litttttle more reassurance especially if the appointment wasn’t their idea in the first place. 🤪
I giggled the first time Gracie treated this patient. For the record, he absolutely knew what he was coming in for and willingly scheduled out a whole series 😂
But it still reminded me of all those husbands whose wives put the appointment on the calendar for them.
Because here’s the funny part…
If you can treat a man who didn’t even want it to begin with… and get him to come back for more, I’d consider that a win. 🙌🏼
