A little summer R&D took me a few places… 🇮🇹🍷🌴

Italy → Napa → St. Barths

Consider me educated. 😂✈️

But more than anything, I’m just incredibly grateful. Grateful for the places I’ve been able to experience, the people I’ve shared them with, and that somehow I get to turn something I genuinely love into work that I love too.
This summer gave me some pretty special memories and a whole lot to be thankful for.

This heat has me ready for crisp mornings, cozy sweaters, changing leaves, and the unmistakable feeling of fall in the air.

I'm ready for fireplaces, long lunches, beautiful hotels, and days that don't involve checking the heat index before leaving the room.

A few places are already on my fall daydream list...

One of the things I love most about planning travel is discovering the stories people bring home.

When I read about this journey through Peru, one detail stayed with me.

It wasn't Machu Picchu.

It wasn't the Sacred Valley.

It wasn't the landscapes.

It was a meal.

A community in the Andes welcomed travelers into their homes to prepare a traditional pachamanca, an ancient cooking method where meats and potatoes are slow-cooked beneath heated stones. The women gathered to make tamales together. Others headed into the fields to plant spring onions by hand. When everything was ready, the meal was shared around the table.

That's the kind of travel that stays with you.

The landmarks become the backdrop. The people become the story.

It's a beautiful reminder that some of the most meaningful moments aren't found on an itinerary. They happen because someone opened a door, shared a tradition, and invited you to experience a place through their eyes.

That's the kind of journey I'm always dreaming about.

I don't spend much time making bucket lists.

I collect feelings instead.

Some places stay with me because of a meal.

Others because of the light just before sunset.

Sometimes it's a hotel so beautifully connected to its surroundings that leaving the property becomes optional.

Lately, I've found myself returning to the Capella collection.

Bangkok for riverside evenings.

Kyoto for quiet mornings.

Shanghai for historic streets that lead to hidden courtyards and elegant afternoons.

Taipei for tea houses, mountain views, and one unforgettable meal after another.

Singapore for its incredible food scene.

Bali for its slower rhythm.

Sydney for ocean air.

Hanoi for its history and charm.

Every destination offers something completely different, yet each property shares the same philosophy: creating a stay that feels deeply connected to the place you're visiting.

The funny thing about dreaming is that it usually turns into planning.
