Yesterday, we celebrated the PA Class of 2026 as they received their long white coats, marking the transition from PA students to future healthcare providers.

After 27 months of hard work, growth, and countless memories, we are so proud of all they have accomplished and excited to see what comes next!

Your education covered. Rural Louisiana is covered, too. Thanks to a new partnership between LSU Health Shreveport and six rural hospitals powered by the LDH H.E.R.O. Program, up to six LSUHS Physician Assistant students will receive full tuition and mandatory fee scholarships in exchange for serving rural Louisiana after graduation.
That’s what we call a win/win/win/win.
✅ A win for students - tuition and mandatory fees covered
✅ A win for rural hospitals - gaining access to highly-trained future providers
✅ A win for our PA Program - expanded clinical training sites
✅ A win for Louisiana - increasing access to excellent health care in communities that need it most.
