✨ Full-circle moments are some of the best moments!

When Graduate and Gratis Faculty member Dr. Bart Wagner stopped by today and saw a very special photo on our wall, sweet reminiscing began. You see, Dr. Wagner graduated from both our Residency and CAP programs, and now his daughter, Dr. Sarah Wagner, is following the same path and will join the ranks of our CAP Fellowship alumni too.

We love seeing generations like the Wagners in our training programs. They’re a powerful reminder of the lasting impact of mentorship, education, and community here at LSU Health Shreveport. 💜💛💜

Today’s Psychiatry Grand Rounds was an amazing presentation and experience! It was presented by CHATogether originator, Eunice Yuen, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine and her protégé and Child and Adolescent Fellow, Maitreyee Berends, MD, PGY-IV!

🩵 CHATogether stands for Compassionate Home Action Together.
💜 It is an Interactive Psychoeducation Program based on uplifting oppressed voices.
💛 It uses vignettes and acted scenes, helping families navigate challenges together through communication and connection.

We’ll all be talking about today’s Grand Rounds for quite some time… along with the original film and skit with several of our very own Fellows and Residents as moderator and actors. Thank you, Dr. Yuen and Dr. Berends for presenting today and many thanks to everyone who took part in this very special day!

We want everyone in our great state to succeed! That’s why we do what we do!

Over the past two days, our team presented workshops and breakout sessions and attended the Louisiana Governor’s 44th Conference on Juvenile Justice! This annual conference brought together community, state, and national leaders. It focused on information and topics that aid in the success of at-risk youth in our great state.

We are especially grateful that this year’s conference was hosted right here in Bossier City, giving many of our Faculty, Fellows, Residents, and Medical Students the opportunity to learn, connect, present, and bring valuable insights back to our campus and community.
