When someone in our community needs help, every second matters. Are you ready to answer the call?

The Richland County Ambulance Service is looking for compassionate, hardworking individuals who want to make a difference and serve their community. An EMT-B training class begins November 2 and runs through March.

No prior experience is required. We’ll help you gain the training and skills you need to respond when your community needs you most.

Class size is limited, so don’t wait! Applications must be completed and returned by October 23.

Sidney Health Center recently welcomed Farrell Monkam, a student from Germany who had the opportunity to shadow his uncle, Noel Nguewoun, MD for four weeks in the clinic.

Farrell is completing his studies at Gymnasium Rutesheim in Germany, which is equivalent to American high school, and plans to pursue medicine in the future. He is especially interested in general practice and neurology.

Working with his uncle in the clinic has provided Farrell with valuable insight by giving him the chance to observe many of the tests and procedures Dr. Nguewoun performs, as well as some podiatric procedures performed by Michael LaPan, DPM.

The friendliness of staff at Sidney Health Center has also made an impression. Farrell says that everyone always takes the time to greet him with a friendly smile and make him feel welcome, and he sees that kindness in the relationships and connections the staff members create with patients.

Sidney Health Center is proud to partner with students like Farrell as they continue their educational journey, and to provide valuable real-world experience while helping strengthen the future of healthcare.
