I want to take a moment to thank everyone for the overwhelming love, support, prayers, donations, and encouragement our family has received. I am truly humbled by the fundraiser and the generosity shown by so many people.

Our family is facing a lot right now. Between Madalyn’s hospitalization and long road to recovery, Chris undergoing treatments for metastatic melanoma, and caring for my mother, it feels like we have been hit from every direction. As the saying goes, when it rains, it pours.

Yet through all of this, I have witnessed God’s presence in so many ways. I have seen His love reflected through the kindness, compassion, and generosity of family, friends, neighbors, and even people we barely know. The good in people has been such a blessing during a very difficult season.

Thank you for every prayer, every donation, every message, every meal, and every act of kindness. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers as we navigate the challenges ahead. We are grateful beyond words and trust that God will continue to carry us through.

Thank you again
Michelle ❤️

There are some people who quietly make a difference in the lives of others every single day. For many years, Michelle Chidester has been one of those people.

Since the day our Cancer & Infusion Center opened its doors, she has been a familiar face, a helping hand, a listening ear, and a source of comfort to countless patients and families. She has celebrated victories, shared tears, offered encouragement, and shown up day after day with a heart for serving others. Today, she needs us.

In recent weeks, life has brought more challenges than any family should have to face at once. Her husband was recently diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Then, last weekend, her only daughter suffered a serious medical emergency and remains hospitalized in St. Louis. Between hospital visits, caregiving, travel, and time away from work, the weight she is carrying is unimaginable.

If you know Michelle, you know she would be the first person to step up and help someone else in need. Now it is our turn to help her.
To support her and her family during this difficult time, we are holding two separate raffles: a delicious cheesecake and a $50 Morley Cafe gift card, both generously donated by Morley Cafe.

🎟️ Raffle spots: $5.00 each (pick your raffle)
📅 Drawing date: June 19th, 2026
📍 Contact:Janette Burns or Alayna McCoy

Whether you purchase a spot, share this post, or simply keep her family in your thoughts and prayers, your support means more than words can express.

Life can change in an instant. When it does, community matters. Let's come together and surround one of our own with the love, support, and kindness she has so freely given to others for so many years.

❤️ Thank you for helping us lift up a truly special member of our Cancer & Infusion Center family

All proceeds go straight to Michelle and her family!

Being an oncology nurse is more than just a job. It’s a calling.

It’s walking alongside people during some of the hardest moments of their lives—
getting to know their families, their stories, what and who they’re fighting for.

It’s speaking truth and life into them when fear tries to take over.
It’s encouraging them… while also holding space for the reality of their struggle.

It’s connection.

It’s being a safe place where they can be honest about their fears—
the ones they’re too afraid to share with their families.

It’s crying with them.
Laughing with them.

It’s staying sharp and ready—keeping them safe when hypersensitivity reactions happen from the very medications meant to heal them.

Some get to ring the bell… and some don’t.
We carry both. 💛

And through it all, I hold onto the memories— the faces, the conversations, the quiet moments, the victories, and even the heartbreak. They stay with me. I cherish them. They’ve shaped not just the nurse I am, but the person I am.

This isn’t just a job—it lives in my heart. I wear it on my sleeve every single day.

I love my patients. I love their families.
It’s a privilege to walk this journey with them.

The days can be hard—
but they are never as hard as what our patients are facing.

I don’t do this for the money.
I don’t do it for recognition.

I do it because I care—deeply, fully, with my whole heart.

And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
