Gloria's Way Inc Namesake, Gloria Minner-Johnson succumbed to lung cancer May 2015. Grassroots effort to increase awareness, support those living/affected by the disease.

Thank you all for your unwavering support in a ministry that was birthed out of the most painful experience of my life. Gloria was a woman of tremendous strength, courage and determination. I have been asked about the origin of the name, Gloria’s Way. Named for the most important influence and supporter in my life, and the strongest woman I will ever know, my mom, Gloria, was not hard at all. “Glo

•ri•ous” Way, is a lung cancer awareness movement. A movement worthy of bringing attention to for the precious lives lost and the family and friends left behind that will forever be changed. The more I have learned about lung cancer since my family’s ordeal, the more I was disheartened about the statistics and more sadly about the public perception. Our message is to encourage you to become proactive in your own lung health, encourage your circle of influence, and help us support others as they are dealing with the disease. For me, helping others brings healing, and is the best exercise for the heart.

Did you know there's good etiquette when hearing someone has Lung Cancer?
DO NOT ask did you smoke? Did you ask your aunt if she smoked when she got breast cancer? Did you ask your co-worker if he smoked when he got skin cancer?
The truth is some people did smoke, but quit long ago, some NEVER smoked, and yes, some may still smoke, and now they may be filled with guilt and shame.
The FACT is that NOBODY deserves Lung Cancer. BE CARING, BE A FRIEND, Try LOVING them, PRAYING for them, and GIVING them a hug instead.
